The aim of the Open House Innovation Lab is to collaboratively explore the feasibility and potential of a peer to peer collaboration platform for the UK property market together with the technology and property service APIs required to create the necessary digital ecosystem to make such a platform work.
The UK Government is committed to roll out Smart Meters to all domestic properties by 2020 and this provides the opportunity for Smart Homes connected to the Internet to have persistent property profiles using blockchain technology so that our homes become part of the Internet of Everything. This will give home movers greater ownership, control, transparency and thereby trust in the house purchase process together with reasonably priced digital property services accessible 24/7 from their Smart Phones.
